Our country is located near the Pacific Ocean causing almost 21 typhoons to enter usually in our country in a year. Our country is also inside the Pacific Ring of Fire which means it is prone in earthquakes and later on tsunami and is a home for many volcanoes which causes volcanic eruptions. Because of climate change, we, Filipinos, experience La Niña and El Niño. When we say La Niña, we experience rainny season more than drought. When we say El Niño , we experience drought more than rainny season. Typhoon, earthquakes, volcanic eruption, tsunami, El Niño, and La Niña are categorized in the Human Induced Disasters. Those disasters stated were not just the disasters we can experience. There are also disasters made by man like for example pollution, war, and many more. Many disasters are felt but how did we still survive all of these? It is by being strong. Filipinos are known for being an optimistic people. We laugh, we feel and give joy and we don't surrender despite of the disasters we can feel. The word "surrender" is nowhere.

For the people of the Philippines, strongness is the best policy. We laugh, we feel joy, we do not surrender.

Reflection

Being on the next level is quite hard. Different hardships, sacrifices, challenges, problems and privations are what I have encountered. But at the end of the day, realizing that you reached your goal is really a satisfaction and an achievement.

Learning things that are new to our minds are really hard but it's exciting to learn and to explore just like what we've done in our ICT 10 1st grading period. Blogging is the main focus and being an amateur blogger is both interesting and a hard part. Many assignments, many reviews on quizzes and project making are what we have done that's why we have insufficient time and we can just make our blogs in our leisure time that's why we really to need fit the time to make all those. We have learned the history of the internet, language of the internet, fathers of the internet, blog, blog search engines like technorati and many more in the 1st grading. Challenges encountered like making a blog, knowing how to search using the 4 methods of searching and memorizing the dates in the internet timeline.

Moving on, I will continue being a blogger as an application of what we have learned to Mrs. Vera Cruz.

SONA 2018

President Rodrigo Duterte delivers his 3rd State of the Nation Address.Last 23rd of July 2018, the so-called president's talk happened in the Batasan Pambansa in Quezon City where almost 3000 people make the crowd. This president's talk is called the State of the Nation Address. What does he talked about? What are the important points that his excellency dropped during the said event?

Our president said that he only wants to make the Philippines great again and to make the greater good of the Filipino people. He highlighted that the war from illegal drugs is far from over and will not be sidelined, instead, it will be as relentless and chilling. According to him, the said drugs can took away lives, dysfunctionalized families and can ruin a relationship. Adressing to stop the corruption, Duterte announced to all government agencies and government units to stop red tape.

He also touched the Bangsamoro Basic Law which he is said to sign it within two days.

He stated that he is committed to a comprehensive task reform and he commanded the congress to continue the job. The fund is for building roads, bridges and for improving the health and education. Analysts added that Dutertenomics performance after his two years in power is fair to poor citing the impact of the TRAIN (Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion) TRAIN law.

On Marawi siege, Duterte recognized soldiers and police who died fighting for the city. He said that government welcomes the terrorists who surrender to authorities with open arms.

Protection of the environment is a top priority, the president told the crowd emotionally. It's all about the restoring of the Boracay Island and anti-mining. He was emotional when he opened that topic that he said "destroying my country".

About the rice cartels, issue on the artificial rice shortage is what the president disliked. So he told the cartels, rice hoarders and their protectors to stop messing with the people.

"Strong political determination, not political ambition, is the guiding light. I have no illusions of occupying this office one day longer than what the Constitution under which I was elected permits." is what the president dropped talking about the federalism or the government principle that should takes place. He is confident that the people will support the passing of a new constitution.

The president then admired the Filipino migrant workers for their hardworking attitude, selflessness and courage in enduring hardships of living. He praised them for they contribute greatly to the Philippine economy. He, then, mentioned about the "fight against endo" which resulted to regularization of more than 300,000 workers.

Successful ASEAN anniversary and summit is held last November that's why President Duterte was overwhelmed and hailed it. On the other hand, relationship with China, has led to an unprecedented level of cooperation between nations on the war against transitional crimes.

Despite of the president's good intention to the country, many rants were thrown to him because of rampant killings that's why he slapped all the people who can't understand his purpose by his statement "Your concern is human rights, mine is human lives". He indirectly said that life is more important than anything else but almost all people misunderstand that.

War and corruption are not the options but peace and justice were. Be futuristic! Let's all make the Philippines better again! Change is coming, change is on the way!
