10th Grade Experiences in Lab

          Be brave. Take risks. This is how it goes. I have no idea how hard it is. I have no idea how critical it is. But we tried. At least we tried.

           ICT 10 is hard for it produces new learnings, new ideas, and new information. In the scale of 10, I will rate its difficulty as 10 at the beginning. But when our supportive teacher, Mrs. Evelyn Vera Cruz explained everything, I rated it's difficulty as 5. There is no "easy" word existing in this world if you won't try to learn and if you won't try to do.

       Experience is really the teacher of all things. Nothing becomes real till we experienced it. Nothing becomes real till we did it.

Goals, Not Dreams

     "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." That is a quote that pertains to dreams. "A dream becomes a goal when action is taken toward its achievement." That is a quote that talks about goals. Should it be dreams? Or should it be goals?

     

      Every child has their own dreams.When they grow older, they make it not just a dream but a goal until finally achieve all of it. Thinking of a dream is easy. But doing your goal is hard. 

     A goal without plans is just a dream. You can, you should and you will not just dream, you must set your goals.

Day of Foundation

               Deborah Meier once said, "Good schools like good societies and good families celebrate and cherish diversity." Foundation day is an appointed date on which celebrations mark the founding of a nation, state or a creation of a military unit or of a school. Why is foundation day important to be celebrated?

              Ilocos Sur National High School had their 117th Foundation Day last 2nd day of March 2019. For them, it is a special day of the entire school cause they have a chance to reflect not only the beginnings of the school and its founders but also on the significant development since the school’s foundation. It is a day set aside to celebrate our antiquity and revisit and reconnect with the continuing journey of the school. We celebrate the pleasure of studying as our mind, body and spirit grow. We celebrate the bond that we share with past and present members of the Ilocos Sur National High School Family.

                 Foundation of the school is important because it is us in the future. It is our foundation.

Festivals are very special to Filipinos especially to Ilocanos. It is not only celebrated for fun but it’s also and always be celebrated because of its religious purposes. This article will talk about one of the most prestigious festival in Ilocos Sur.

Kannawidan Ylocos Festival’s feature for today is the old and new Ilocano culture. The whole Ilocos Sur celebrates the said festival for being a separate province and for being a treasure chest of traditions and culture. This is celebrated in 3 weeks from the 29^th day of January to the 17^th day of February. Workers of the government from local and national offices, public officials and members of non-government-organizations are united in the opening of the said festival last 27^th day of January, year 2018 at Kannawidan grounds in Barangay Tamag. Tadek, an indigenous ritual, is performed by the National Winner which rose the name of Ilocos Sur, the 100 students and teachers of San Emilio National High School. Today, the night outs of the different actors and actresses that perform in the Kannawidan stage and the rides are enjoyed by everyone who visits Vigan City.

This Kannawidan Festival really mirrors the former culture of Ilocos. As Governor Ryan Singson always said, “Sure, Ilocos Sur!”.

New Start

For last year's words, belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice and to make an end is to make a beginning. It's time to unfold new pages and start a new chapter in your life.

The year of twenty hundred and eighteen is a little bit weary. Many hardships and challenges. Many sufferings and hassles but life must go on. Challenges, hardships, hassles, and sufferings. All of these made me stronger. All of these composed the new me. And all of these made me realize the real essence of life. The year two thousand and nineteen opens and therefore I will write the new chapter of my life. But this time, it's the better one. It's the better goal. It's the better resolutions. And it's the better dreams. A new year brings not only the happiness. It makes us happy with a hope to fulfill our dreams or a new beginning of our life.

It is a new year. And this is a new beginning.

Change is a chance. It forces to find strength and emancipates to travel new waters, seek escapade, and uncover hidden treasures.

Leo Tolstoy once said,"Everyone thinks of changing the world but no one thinks of changing himself." It means that change starts within me, within you, and within everybody.

As a youth, as a daughter, and as a student, simple ways could be done to begin the change. You know what's the simplest but the most perfect thing you can do? It's to love. Love is just one word with four letters but it conquers everything. I can say that it makes the world go round because it is everything. With love, a human can be Godly, humanitarian, nature lover and a nationalist because nothing's impossible with love.

Change your thoughts. Change your reality. Turn your trials into conquest. Be a cover for change and prosper in change.

Everything starts at basic until it becomes more complex. Headaches and dizziness occurs but the most important thing here is that after all the sufferings, we made it successfully. We put images, background, background image. We even learned how to link. It's like if you press the blue colored button, you will see another page in it just like in the wikipedia.

Basic is first. Complex is last. It's complex but basic.

Equality Happens? Love Wins

All of us have our own rights but some of us violate it because they know that they're stronger. They know that nobody will be able to hear them. They know that they don't have the power to shout for their own rights.

There are rights but why do people still feel that they are at the bottom of the society? As an individual, I know the feeling of being cast out of somebody. I know the feeling of being lonesome. I know the feeling of being valueless. I know those feelings and maybe you too knew that feeling. Now if you do not know yet that feeling, try to put yourself in that feeling or in that particular situation, how does it feel? Does it feel good? Imagine yourself that you're one of a child who wants to play, who only wants to join other children in their game then one will say "Go there! You don't belong here". What will you feel? Simple but heart melting situation. Why do we need to cast out others well infact we are at the same position because we are made fairly and we are all equal. No matter what gender you are, your skin color, your height. WE ARE ALL EQUAL because we are all children of God. Some people says that being gay or lesbian is against the bible but for me I can see no wrong with being different because it's their own decision and it's how they feel. If they want to be different, they can be different.

Instead of hating them just accept them. Instead of casting them out, just welcome them. Instead of hating them, love them.

Real Spirit and Soul of His Day

Season of giving, of love, of peace, of joy and of great tidings? That's Christmas. It's a season when we celebrate the birth of Christ the King, the redeemer of mankind. He is the reason for this season. What does Christmas mean to you?

Christmas is more than festivity and merry making. It is a time for the contemplation of eternal things. The Christmas spirit is a spirit of giving and forgiving. We need to spare time in reflecting on the essence of this period which is the LOVE OF GOD for humanity.

As we celebrate His birthday, let’s be human & kind enough. Let's not forget that the true essence of Christmas is to love, give and forgive. Merry Christmas!!!

     Maraming bata ang napapabayaan. Maraming bata ang hindi naaalagaan. Maraming bata ang nawawalan ng kahalagahan. Kailangan pa ba nilang makaranas ng mga sakit? Kailangan pa ba nilang maghirap muna bago natin ibigay sa kanila ang karampatang aruga?

   

Batang namamalimos; batang natutulog sa lansangan na walang kasiguraduhan sa sariling seguridad; batang sumisinghot ng rugby; batang naglilinis ng sapatos ng iba at sasakyan ng iba; batang namumulot ng pagkain sa basura; batang nagnanakaw para lamang matugunan ang pangangailangan. Iyan ay ilan sa mga bagay na nakikita natin. Iyan ay ilan sa mga bagay na nagpapakita sa kakulangan ng pag-aaruga sa mga kabataan. Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan. Sila ang susunod na Bill Gates at Albert Einstein. Kaya't marapat lang na ibigay ang kanilang pangangailangan. Nararapat lang na bigyan sila ng wastong aruga. Mayroon silang karapatang dapat na ibigay ng lahat. Karapatan ng isang batang maglibang at mag-aral, hindi magtrabaho sa murang edad.

        Dapat lang na maalagaan nang mabuti ang mga bata dahil sila ang pag-asa ng ating bayan.

Education is the key to our success. Reading is the basic way of education.

Reading can help us to reach success. By simply reading, we can reach our dreams and goals. Through reading, different things that are written can be easily understand by us. Reading is a great help in reaching once success in an individual's life.
